What exactly is a Brazilian blowout? what does it do? how long does it last?

It tames your hair if it's super frizzy. My friend who has super frizzy/curly hair recently got it done and now she is left with soft waves. It's usually pretty expensive. She was told it lasts 2-3 months.

Ohh ok thank you..i am thinking about getting one because my hair is soo un tameable i have come to a cross roads of either cutting it or getting a brazilian blowout...
