Difference Between Gel And Cream Shampoos.

What's the difference between these both shampoos. I read somewhere that shampoos are of 2 types -gel and cream.
Gel ones for oily scalp and cream ones for dry scalp.
I need some insight on this.

Cream shampoos are white colored and like thick.. it may have conditioner sometimes with it..
the gel shampoos are transparent coloured shampoos.
and I have oily hair, cream shampoos don't clean my hair it makes it worse. so I only use gel.

Just open it squeeze a bit and check if its white or clear.
thats how I know haha.
umm I used herbal essences.. they have both cream and gel. so do the trick ^
I used tresemme too gel.. but It didn't work for ny hair
now in using a pantene gel which is plant based. its transparent green.
pantene also has both cream and gel.

Okay,thanks I use herbal essences hello hydration.My scalp is not oily,its normal.But I think its making my hair more dry.
