I've heard great things about banana powder being amazing especially for dark skin. I've ordered it but still waiting :(

Banana powder is great for setting under eye concealer & other areas you highlight with. As for going over the high points of your cheeks, bridge of your nose & other areas, the closest matte highlighter I have is Reserve Your Cabana by Wet n Wild. But that has more of a sheen. My other favorite is Gotta Glow by ELF.

Maybe try a powder like 2 shades lighter than your foundation if you don't want shimmer?

Mary Kay used to have a cream highlight. It didn't have shimmer. I can't remember what it's called. They might still have it on their website.
