In my opinion plastic surgery should only be offered when it's medically necessary, like burn victims, survivors if disfiguring accidents or illnesses. The fact it's available to the public for superficial reasons shows how low morals and values of the surgeons doing it. They just want to get rich. Its dangerous and ridiculous and honestly I never think it looks good and the it is one of the reasons so many women can never feel good enough and have to go as far as surgery to make themselves feel more confident.

Okay, I've not read all the other responses, but I think it's fine. If you've got the money and it'll make you happy go for it! I'd love to have the money to get my boobs fixed, does that mean I will? No. Would I if I had the chance? In a heartbeat. To each their own though.

Annabelle you do realize that the surgeons doing reconstructive surgery for burn victims and accident survivors are the same ones doing nose and boob jobs too right??

Dana- (referring to my earlier question to you) I totally agree! You shouldn't get anything done if you're doing it for someone else!!
Personally, I'd love to do some tweaking to my nose and go up a cup size (currently an a cup). I don't have a super low self esteem contrary to popular belief. I don't think anyone should have to be in some dire circumstance for them to be able to fix something they aren't 100% thrilled with.

I had a consultation just yesterday--- I have irregular breasts, and a health condition that makes weightloss without heavy amounts of hormones nearly impossible. but if I told most of you girls that I was getting a breast augmentation, lift, and liposuction, y'all would say I'm superficial without knowledge of my reasons. just because you feel comfortable in your skin doesn't mean everyone else has to. try to keep an open mind and open heart when people tell you something you don't necessarily agree with or believe in- you can't assume how they feel or their personal reasons

Agree with Danni. There can be many substantial reasons why someone decides to have plastic surgery not necessarily because they have low self-esteem or for superficial reasons. Most people in the beautylish community like to wear make up and that's not being our natural selfs but I wouldn't call it being fake either. We're enhancing the beauty we already have. Like wise with plastic surgery , when not over done but done tastefully. I don't see why be so judgmental about it, like Danni said , keep an open mind just because it doesn't necessarily go with what you believe in or you understand it doesn't mean you can assume so negatively.
