Do needles hurt more than a gun?.

My friend did mine when I was 15 or 16 and we used a gun put I have since been told that using a gun is really dangerous for your ear and if you hit the wrong spot you can paralyze that side of your face, I'm not sure if thats true but I would deff get it done by a pro. I recently took mine out bc my friend pierced it at an angle and it was hard to get in and out. But as far as the actual piercing it didnt hurt that bad it was just majorly sore for a few weeks and didnt completely heal for a few months.

Is that true that if you hit it wrong you can paralyze that side of your face? I'm sorry I'm asking so many questions. I'm just doing my research.

I heard it about using a gun, thats why I would suggest using a pro. Like Mikayla said.

If you get it done with a gun it will scar the cartilage get it done with a needle.

I had mine done with a gun like six years ago. I still have it. didn't hurt much.. it did take a while to heal though but wasn't that bad. you just have to clean it and not sleep on its side- this was my problem.

I got both of my cartilages done at the same time, both with a gun, and the healed just fine. It is really sore for a few weeks after while it heals, and I'd get studs to start, easier to clean and less likely to catch on your hair, and easier to sleep on.

Needle! It's safer with doing that way.

All my piercings have beeb with a needle and gone to a tattoo place. they know their stuff and the needle is more sanitary since its in a package instead of a gun where they might just clean it.. I have heard you can ruin your cartliege with a gun...better be safe and go get it done perfessionally.

Do they stick the needle in front of a lighter flame to get it heated and stick it through a persons ear?

I got my 3 piercings with a gun and it didn't hurt that much. But I really don't know if the needle is safer :) if you decide to do it, just make sure you go with a professional and that you clean it with an antibacterial that's for piercings.

Where would you want the piercing? The pain varies on the area (like the rook is really painful) and your pain tolerance. Needle definitely because they're more sterile and I don't think guns can go through some kinds of cartilage. Find a reputable piercing/tattoo place (I think tattoo parlors do piercings as well). Good luck!

I got mine done a few months ago & it's fine now. My friends mom did it with a needle. I would consider putting ice on it before so it will numb it, the ice is the only part that hurt me.

Do it!! It doesn't hurt getting it done. It hurts after when you hit it. But I love mine!

I've had mine done about 3 years, get it done with a bar because its harder to clean with a hoop as the bacteria is just put back into the piercing when you twist it. Also only get it done with a needle, as they are hollow, unlike a gun which can cause your cartilage to shatter. And lastly guns are really hard to clean so could cause infection, needles from a sterilised packet are so much safer.

Def needle, piercing shop/tattoo studio. I got an orbital a couple of years ago. The best thing I did was get Naked Oil. The piercing healed up in three weeks.
