Im currently a Lancome Beauty Advisor. I am absolutly interested in MAC however. I would love to have the oppertunity work for MAC just to try it out! I will be going to school, two symesters, this fall for esthetics. Should i give it a try after school ? Does anyone have any Advice for me?

MAC usually starts new-hires out with the littlest amount of hours per week. I've seen people have only 8-12 hours per week. Perhaps you could just apply and tell them you're looking for a very part time position, because they'll never hire you even remotely close to full time if you're just starting with their company anyway. I don't see why you couldnt work for them 2-3 short days per week that still works with your school schedule.

How about Sephora? It's kind of hard to get in there too. I was told that you need a porfolio to start and then they will train you to become more on a professional level. One of the girls told me that in the store.

Yes, teach the Mac employees to be more courteous & respectful towards customers, because without us, they wouldnt have a job. And have more knowledge in the products your selling. If you dont know the answer, make the effort to look it up not just say "huh? i dont know". Be there for the customers, not the paycheck!
