I heard somewhere that you should try it under your neck.. I don't know because I'm always mixing foundations.

Actually you should try it in your jawline. It should match your chest. Usually it's hard to spot the right shade so mixing 2 foundations one shade darker and one lighter... this is what works for me :)

Put some on jawline and see if it matches your face and neck. It should be SLIIGHTLY darker.

At mac's website they have a test on how to chopse your foundation color or you could ask a makeup artist instead.

Ask if they'll put on you and go out and see what you look like in natural sun light, and take pictures with flash.

It might be your lighting at Home that's why it look differen but when you buy remember you probably got darker.
