Ello lovelies :)
So yesterday I went out and bought John Frieda's new sheer frizz-ease serum and I just have to say.. I am in LOVE!! I couldn't be happier. The product doesn't weigh down my hair or make my blonde color look dull or greasy. I have long hair (all the way down my back) and it is moderately thick but not coarse. My question here is , has anyone tried this product or use it in their routine and know if it would be okay to use near my roots? I'm really scared to try because often using frizz serums near your roots makes your hair lose volume and become oiler quicker :/ should I go for it or nay? Thanks loves!! :)

I used those john frieda products for a while, in the beginning my hair looked good, but it got flatter and oilier looking over time. too many silicones. all those products will make your hair worse longterm.

Rosie that's because you are not using anti residue shampoos periodically... Every once in awhile you need to get rid of all the build up and gunk so that your products work efficiently in the long run. Try neutrogena anti residue shampoo or andalou naturals chamomile and lemon detox shampoo. You also can use lemon or baking soda. You'll be surprised at the difference in your hair when you use something to rid residue weekly. But is there something I'm missing here? Is silicone bad for the health of your hair? If so, can you cite your sources? Thanks :))
