Put some concealer on the scars and then apply your foundation.

No don't put concealer on first and then foundation. When you are applying your foundation after concealing it will just rub off. Apply your foundation and then use your clean fingers or a clean concealer and dab the scar. Try to avoid the center of the scar and blend around it. I use Makeup Forever Full Cover Concealer. It works great on blemishes and scars.

I'm not sure if it works on acne scars, but, I have gotten just store brand scar cream and it faded scars, that were on my arm not my face, super quick though.
