Ok first you have to figure out what you wore/used in the past year or will the following year. all the rest, you can give away. hard but necessary! once that is done, go to the dollar store (or not if you can afford higher end) and invest in as many hangers and boxes you need. hangers are great. not space consuming and you can organise your clothes, span through them quickly

This box is so useful! I have one exactly like that and I use it to store all my non seasonal stuff (ex: coats during the summer) and then I push it under the bed... and it disappears lol.

I use boxes like that to store the shoes I don't wear often or off season. not the best way to store them though. I guess you could also use them for some of your beauty collection (creams, hair stuff...)
