I have the same skin tone as you. Nicki Minaj-esque pinks seem to look a little weird on me, as do super nudes. But light pink nudes work for a natural look. Reds and corals as well.

Also if you're scared of red, pair it with a simple winged eyeliner and mascara just on the top lid. That's what I always do and it's a nice vintage look. :)

Lip liners are just for a more precise line for when applying lipstick. I personally don't use them but if you'd like a guideline for applying lipstick then go that ahead.
