I love the black matte ones they are my favorite I don't have them but I've watched a couple YouTube videos where people style them and they go with a lot even girls outfits and skirts.

My prefered method for breaking shoes in is just to grit and bear it and wear them in. using heat can distort the structural integrity of the shoe and since docs can be an investment I wouldn't do anything to compromise the quality.

I just got a pair not too long ago. Get some really thick socks and wear the boots around the house a little every day, then start with little trips outside. They should be fine after a week :)
