I've dyed my hair myself for as long as I can remember, but I've recently been considering getting my hair done at the hair dressers. I usually cut my own hair, too, so I don't know how much it would cost to get it done. Is there a huge difference in quality? Is it worth it? What sort of price range do you think it would be? Thanks!

If you feel more comfortable doing it yourself go for it!

I would personally only go to a dresser if you are going to be a redhead or ombré hair.

I'm comfortable, I've been doing it for years. But I want to know if I would get a nicer result with the dresser.

My cousin had theirs done at the salon and it went the wrong colour and it was all fried so she had to get loads cut off. It doesn't always guarantee better quality x

I am a hairdresser. Personally, I color my own hair because I know what I am doing and know what I want. I also cut my own bangs. But I get the main length cut by another hairdresser or my mom (she used to be a hairdresser). If I were going to highlights or something I'd definitely have someone else do it though. Just depends on what you're doing and if you know what you are doing.
