I don't think depilatories are ok to use on your face even if they are for your face because the chemicals are very harsh. Have you tried an epilator.

Threading is the form of hair removal that is the least likely one to break you out as the only thing that touches your face is a tiny piece of thread

I use veet for my bikini line and it works really well as long as you don't leave it on too long.

I'm going to go ahead and scare a few people. Do NOT put nair or veet on your face. Those two products, along with perm solution, contain the same chemical as drain cleaner. Now it may be okay to use on other body parts, but you face has much thinner skin than the rest of your body and it is much more sensitive. And if you're not convinced yet; you've already used nair and it broke you out, Veet is the same thing.
