It does dry yur hair out, so use a leave in conditioner or alternate the mane & tail with yur usual shampoo an conditioner.

I'm using the conditioner also. It doesn't dry my hair out. It makes it feel amazing. I just got done from going black to blonde so my hair was dry and damaged. I used it and it feels and looks like my hair like I never bleached it in the first place.
