So I made a youtube channel however I've come to a mental block. I have no idea where I want to start or where to record (area wise) Are there any fellow youtubers that have advice on how should I begin.

You need to avoid filming in a small enclosed area (echoing reason), dark room are a no no (you want plenty of natural lights as possible) and avoid filming it at night time (would hate if your parents or roommate comes in and tell you to shut it and go to bed).

Suggestions for first video: start with a basic simple look and your second video could be about how to switch that look into night out of town look. Throw in some random inspired type of tutorials/looks to keep it different.

Another important tip: decide how are you going to communicate, is it voice over, to the camera as it films or is it no vocal but on screen words.

Also use a good quality camera, avoid mobile phones or cheap webcam for recording.

Best of luck!!

Record in an area with good lighting, preferably near a window. Natural lighting is always going to be a lot better than artificial lighting. If you're having trouble brainstorming ideas just look at what's popular on YouTube. Tags, hauls, and music video looks are always popular.

Best of luck on your YouTube journey.
