I don't think it's something to go out in because people are very judgemental but I think anyone at any age can wear make up. I'd limit it to at home though and just for fun.

NO NO NO NO!! At 8 years old girls shouldn't be worrying about wearing makeup!! They should be worrying about cooties and what to play at recess! When I was a kid, I loved playing with my Mom's makeup and those kid makeup kits. But I never stepped outside with it. My momma would've slapped the makeup off my face... Lol.. Not really but you know what I mean..

My mother always said that if you use make up at a younger than usual age, her face will mature (in a bad way)

Make up? No. My cousin is 8 also & never wears any make up.. For parties One time she put glitter on her cheeks which was cute and very age appropriate but other than that I think it's ridiculous.

For play as in dress up, I put Barbie lip glosses and eye shadow on my daughter...but that is just for play sometimes even when she is eight, I will still just use kiddy stuff like that.. I will not introduce bb creams, blush, concealer...no way...that would be robbing my daughter of her kid years and I would not condone it. Maybe when she is 16 or 17...

Heck no! Maybe some glitter eye makeup for Halloween and birthday but we want to keep your/her skin NICE for as long as possible so you/she never needs makeup.

Dressing up and playing at home with it is fine I guess, but once she goes out on the street it just turns into toddlers and tiaras. I only wear mascara lol and I'm 16 at that age I only wore Burts bees peppermint lip balm.
