My hair was dark brown with some black in it and I used manic panic vampire red. it turned out great!! I kept reapplying it every month and after about the third month it was the perfect color!! love manic panic!! ;)

Thanks! I've wondered about Manic Panic reds; I want to emphasize the natural copper in my hair without going too red and it looks like this may be a good option. Looks great on you!
