So next week on Thursday I have to take my senior portraits and I want to have a even skin color. I was considering a spray tan to even it out. But I've never got it done before I'm so lost I don't know where to start. But what I do know is I don't want to look orange! Please help!

At the salons they have the option of the lightest spray possible, it's for beginners. I think it's at most salons. it's at the one near me, so maybe you should look into it?

Ok but when you get a spray tan how long does it last cause I might get it Friday or Saturday but I need it to last until aug 15 for my senior portrait

I recommend doing those ones that take a few hours to change color. That way you aren't so orange afterwards.

And when you get it done do you go into a machine or do the salon people spray you?

Spray tans only last a few days, you have to be consistent and get them often to make it stick!

I wouldn't get a spray tan to even out your skin tone. If anything, a spray tan would make it less even. Find a good thick make up for the pictures, photo ready make up should be heavy. If you do end up getting the spray tan, tho, use a creamy lotion like the butter ones and moisturize at least twice a day.

I'm just so Nervous because I'm taking my senior pictures and I want to look back and not regret anything. And now I'm starting to second guess the spray tan cause what if I get it and it comes out bad than my whole photo is ruined! So maybe I should just leave it...

Don't try anything new when it comes to hair color, skin or recipes just before a big event..ever. Best advice my mom ever gave me. Either spray early enough to see how the color takes, your skin reacts, etc. I personally would exfoliate well..lotion up for 2 days..then snag some disposable gloves and Jergen's gradual tan MOUSSE and facial accompaniment.. in light to medium...and go that route. It's easy to remove for me and if you stay moisturized...fades evenly. The Mousse is so much better than the lotion. Still...if you really want to spray..hit up Yelp or Foursquare and read reviews on local salons..and get it a few days ahead as a precaution. Watch your hairline and put lotion on your nails, palms and soles to avoid color transfer. Good luck!

My mom doesn't tan. She's from "The Old Country" and that's crazy talk to her, but the advice is still applicable! lol.

I've had spray tans before, and I love the place I go to, they're amazing! But definitely agree with Rozberry, don't do it before something big (like senior pictures! If you hate it that's in your memories forever!). I'm a lifeguard, so I have a realllyyyy noticeable tan line. My lady helps it look more natural! The place I go is hand-spray, meaning the lady does it herself. She gives me a lotion that I put on the elbows, knees, hands, and feet. I did get lucky and find a great place to go to. And spray is a heck of a lot better than beds!
If you do, exfoliate and shave the morning or night before.
If you do, read tons of reviews and go in and ask as many questions as you can think. Good luck and congrats on senior year!

I got a spray tan a couple days before my prom and it turned out great. I was a little orange the day I got it but it fades pretty quick just get it done 3 days before and you will look fine :)

Ps don't exfoliate after your spray tan... It will rub off. Trust me. When you shower just hand wash don't use any scrubber!! And make sure to keep moisturizers
