It does to some point I am a blonde and I use it but my friend used it with her brown hair and it worked to a point but it didn't make her blonde

I think it dries out hair a bit, but as long as you put on conditioner it won't matter:)

You can get manzanilla shampoo at most drugstores like target Walgreens rite aid etc. and I used it once and it did lighten my hair really well it is also inexpensive
