Bring another foundation you have to compare and see which one matches the maybelline area at my walmart had one of those thingys that if you pull it out it will have those holes for you to put your hand up so you can see what shade you are.

Honestly try taking a compact mirror and go through holding every shade you think might be remotely close to your skin tone, and some you think might be too light or dark just to make sure, up to your face and pick the one that seems to have the most seamless transition from your skin to the bottle. Hope this helps :)

I'd recommend going a shade lighter with this particular foundation it turns out more orange than expected on the skin.Also ask the woman in the drugstore to help match you that's what they're there for:)

It's really not that accurate when you try to compare the sample color to your skin tone. I was about to say that you ask for the sales lady's help but^.. Maybe try to go to a place where there would be someone to assist you or watch some swatches or first impression videos just so you know how they kinda look like. Or just simply look for one that matches your undertone. :)
