This has soooo much hypocrisy. most of you arent vegeterians. well most of the world isnt vegeterian. and we kill animals daily for a meal. and now you guys are getting teary eyed over a bunny? think of how many animals you already killed from eating.

I agree with you, Jessica. If someone that eats meat says they are against animal cruelty, I am always a bit agitated.

It wasnt until I began researching after becoming a vegetarian that I knew the extent of the brutality to which animals are out through. Both for cosmetics and for food.

I don't know, I think that every little bit helps. It may not be to the fullest extent, but it does make a difference in some way.

I'm vegan so this obviously matters to me. apart from that I actually think animal testing is one of the most cruel things, similar to fur. using products tested on animals is worse than eating meat, so even if you're not vegetarian, it's good to not use animal tested products. I don't think looking a little better (which you can totally do with cruelty free products - it's not that much work to find those) is a proper reason to torture and kill other beings.
and keep in mind that the body shop is part of L'Or?al, they test.

Yes, Rosie, about L'oreal. it is really important to do your research because I was not aware of that. Thank you!

I kinda wish america banned testing on animals for cosmetics like the EU did. :/ (it'd be nice to have them ban testing on everything but baby steps)

NYX does no animal testing!

I don't buy cruelty free. I'm aware of everything especially having worked in a body product store for a long time. I wish I was able to go cruelty free... itll happen one day. it took me a while to go veg and I did it for 5 years... I really respect those who do it though. and please don't preach... I won't read.

As far as eating meat goes, I feel like God gave us animals to eat. But not to torture and test products on.

No need for the hate. I admire you for your passion on this subject. But it's clearly a very controversial topic. Many people on here are vegan or vegetarian and I applaud you all for that. I think it's a great thing. However at the moment it's not the lifestyle for me. I do love animals and hopefully soon I can start to make changes such as no longer purchasing makeup that tests on animals.

So thank you to everyone for your information and suggestions.

You girls also need to understand- that all products must be tested on something. so if it is not animals they will test, they will test on humans (usually poor people who'd do anything for pennies). I honestly doubt there will ever be a product that has not been tested on anyone. so pick- animal testing or human testing?
