Lightning hair with lemon.

Hey guys! I was just wondering how I should go about using lemon juice to lighten my hair, should I put it in while washing my hair? Wet or dry hair? How much? I heard I should sit in the sun after as well

I used to do this and as far as I know it's okay for your hair and I would put it in my hair when it was dry then wear it in the sun all day and it would lighten it.

I mixed it with water in a spray bottle, then sprayed it into my hair while dry. Then I sat in the sun for an hour (with sunscreen, of course!) Then washed out the lemon and deep conditioned it. If you don't deep condition then the lemon will dry out your hair, but otherwise it's fine.
