Has anyone tried the Models Own Acorn Sponge Set for blending in foundation? I'm not sure I want to dish out for the beauty blender sponge (yet!)

I'm not sure about the acorn sponge. I've never seen one. But I can tell you that my first sponge was a beauty blender and I LOVE it. I mean really love it, it was a game changer for me. Though I found it didn't last that long considering the price ( which is rediculous!) so I decided to try a more affordable sponge and I'm not going to lie it sucked big time. Not anywhere close to giving my foundation the same finish and much harder to clean. Hope this helps :)
