I was thinking of going blue right before school started, I have brown hair. What would the estimated damage be, and how could I prevent dryness? Thanks for any comments!

The damage is a lot, I had blue hair and even my hair salon don't recommend it! a lot of ppl wear the colored hair pieces instead

Go for it babydoll! (: the bleach does damage a lot, but depending on how light of a brown that your hair is and what shade of blue youre doing, you may just be able to use the stain over your hair now! The blue, will actually be good for your bleached hair. I recomend manic panic or pravana, mainly pravana if its available to you. To keep it from fading, put a bit of blue dye in your conditioner and shampoo, leave both in for rooughly 10 minutes when you shower. Use oils and soft color safe treatments (: happy coloring, post end result back here please?(:

Thanks for all the really great tips! I will probably be doing it next week if I have the $$ to buy my supplies. I will definitely post back here with my results though!

@claire, I don't think it will be either. That just means you havent opened your mind to it, and thats fine too.
Lol yes, I do my hair a lot, so I research a lot and have learned from experience. I can't wait to see yours! I'm loving everyone doing their hair, since I recently had to dye mine back brown for jobs and stuff. Do it while you can, ladies!
