I have frizzy, wavy hair... and I live in south florida (humidity makes the frizz worse). I'm able to keep the frizz under control with serums and products except when I use a curling iron to curl my hair. someone told me that happens because my hair is dry and/or damaged. which I can assure you my hair is not damaged. I just went to the hairdresser to get a trim and my hair is in perfect condition. so I wanna know what are the real causes of frizzy hair?

If you have naturally curly or poofy hair and you live in a humid condition your hair will go back to its natural state mine does the same sometimes but I have found that deep conditioning my hair with conditioning that is specifically for dry and damaged hair worked even if your hair is in good condition! Humidity takes moisture out of your hair so you need to restore it!

Humidity is one, but also check to see if your shampoo has sulfate in it. sulfate dries out hair like crazy, it was in my herbal essence shampoo :( (ironically the shampoo made to treat frizzy hair)

Your hair being dry, breakage, humidy, too much heat like straightners hair dryers ect, damaged hair, split ends, I'd suggest shampoo your hair less and start washing your hair with conditioner to prevent this and use product, a straightning gel helps and hair oils

Just a tip.. after you wash your hair don't towel dry it. use paper towels instead.. the cloth towels cause friction and causes frizz.. try and see a big difference!.. also sallys has a great leave in conditioner called miracle 7 that works wonders!!

I would really recomend to put some hair oil like morocain oil , argain oil or if you have thicker hair macadamia oil.

Thanks everyone! 2 weeks ago I switched to the garnier fructis line of frizzy hair products: shampoo, conditioner, frizz milk, leave in conditioner, and argon oil and I have noticed a difference. and I've been drying my hair with a big cotton tshirt for a couple months, which helps. I just wanted to know if there were any more tips. thanks again!!
