Aww I remember when I was a freshman 😊 tips:
1. Get your close circle of friends and stick with them. HS can be a lot of unnecessary drama if you associate with too many people.
2. Grades come first. I'm applying for college in two months and you really only have freshman-junior year to show colleges what you are made of. So make it count
3. Try new things. Clubs and sports are great ways to get involved. Just make sure you don't get too involved and wear yourself thin
4. NEVER get into a relationship with a senior. Seriously, it's disgusting.
5. Have fun! Freshman year is my fave year

For one just don't be worried its not bad at all!! You will get more homework so expect that. Go the right direction in the hall! you don't wanna piss off an upperclassman by stopping in the middle. Know where youre classes are.. ask a friend thats already been there. Or take a tour around on the first day before school starts. And especially no slacking on grades high school is where is counts the most! overall just have a.good year!

I just finished my freshman year, and some advice for you is to be yourself, don't be annoying lol, watch out for the wrong people, and don't trust people too soon, I made that mistake. Good luck!

I'm going to be a junior :) Advice for freshman:
1.) High school is not terrifying like you see on TV
2.) Don't try to be friends with everyone, nobody really cares about popularity at high school. And if they do, they aren't worth it. Rather then becoming friends with everyone, just be friendly to everyone. Keep your bestfriends close, because there's a lot of drama and you will need them.
3.) Being completely honest, 99% of sophomores/juniors/seniors hate freshman, so don't act like you're better then everyone, because you're not. (Something freshman are known for)
4.)stop screaming, you saw your friends yesterday and you will see them at lunch.
5.) don't block the hallways when you travel in packs
6.) Avoid any unnecessary drama
7.) Grades first before anything
good luck! :)

I'm going into my junior year!
1. Grades should ALWAYS come first, don't slack off
2. Join clubs and sports to make new friends. I started track and cheerleading as a sophomore. Best decision ever
3. There will be drama, just try to avoid it
4. I had a few senior friends bc my sister. But most upperclassmen don't like freshman. It's nothing towards you but as a whole they can be annoying.
5. Don't disrespect your teachers. (Even though some of them can be rude lol)
6. You will make and lose friends throughout highschool. People change
These will the best and sometimes worst years of school. You're growing up so make it count. Make memories. Good Luck!!

Lol, just like Jes T. Said, don't block the hallways it's annoying. Do not randomly stop just to talk to a friend. AND relationships are not everything.

Well ok see I'm going into 8 th grade but some of my closest friends are sophomores and seniors so I guess I would have to say just grow up some middleschoolers are just cocky jerks and its time you move past that stage and be yourself.

I'm a senior in college, and none of what you do in 9th grade matters. Serious. DONT stress about it at all!

As a senior I can tell you there's nothing to worry about! As long as you're nice to everyone (That includes teachers! You aren't "cool" for treating them like crap, and it ends up only making things worse for you.) and don't create a huge crowd smack dab in the middle of the hallways you should be fine! Honestly, we could care less about what you wear or what you put on your face because we're too stoked to get out of there and on with our lives! My biggest advice to you would to only do things you're comfortable doing. Don't feel pressured into or out of something just because someone else doesn't approve. If you want to wear a full face, go for it! If not, that's great! Also be sure to pay attention, take good notes, and use everything as a learning experience- even situations outside the classroom! You're young, so grab life by the balls!! haha! :)

Hey girl, I'm actually a senior this year. When I was a freshman I had just moved to a new school and it was very nerve wrecking. Make sure you keep your priorities straight like your goals, grades, everything. Make a good impression with your teachers, classmates, and any other people in your school. Don't ever catch anyone talking mess on you, be such an example that all they say is good things! :)

I agree with all of the advice these ladies have given! On a side note, on the academic side if you don't already have a major it's okay! I didn't know what I wanted to do until my 2nd year of college. So don't stress, just be yourself and good luck! :) I'm starting to feel old now. Haha.

Honestly, just be yourself. There will always be girls who will try to bring you down and hurt you by talking behind your back and spreading rumors. The people who hurt you in high school really don't matter. Remember that.

Be yourself; it's too much damn work trying to be someone else. Take no crap off the jump or you'll be pegged as a pushover. Never stray from your core beliefs, read, read, read and a little kindness goes a long way. Steer clear of forming opinions of others based on gossip and give people a chance. Talk to a parent or grandparent/aunt if you have any trouble..and don't let things fester. Make sure you balance studies with fun and plenty of music, theatre and art! Save the late nights for the weekend...and don't give your love or friendship away to just anyone; it's precious. Lastly, respect your teachers, but don't fear questioning any injected opinions on matters. Engage in debate and healthy, open discussion.
