The dangers of fake eyelashes and extensions:
the problem with fake eyelashes and eyelash extensions is that it can damage your natural lashes. glue is used to fix the extensions or fake eyelashes. when it falls off, the natural lashes usually fall off too leaving you with fewer eyelashes. the more you use false eyelashes and extensions, the less natural lashes you will have.
Natural is the way to go:
Just like in almost everything else, the natural option is always the best. first of all, it is safer. secondly, it is usually more effective. also, it is usually more affordable. one of the best eyelash enhancers can be found in your medicine cabinet. you can also buy it in most supermarkets. what is it? it is simply jojoba oil which is derived from a desert shrub native to california, arizona and mexico. it was introduced to spanish explorers by native american indians sometime during the 18th century.
Jojoba oil offers powerful moisturizing and regenerative properties. it can be used a variety of ways including eyelash enhancement. it became very popular in the 1970s replacing sperm whale oil as a key ingredient in most cosmetic products like creams, shampoos and sunscreen. one of its main features is its non-oxidizing property even when exposed to high temperature or pressure. jojoba oil is one of the best eyelash enhancers because it moisturizes and protects the hair follicles allowing the eyelashes to grow longer and thicker before falling off.
Causes of hair loss
If you want to have longer and thicker eyelashes, it is important to be aware of the different causes of hair loss. this will enable you to take care of your lashes and prevent them from falling off too soon. hair loss can be due to heredity, hormonal imbalances, illness, surgery or medication. one popular theory behind the loss of hair is the overproduction of sebum which clogs the hair follicles causing hair to fall off. lack of nutrients can also cause hair loss so a healthy diet is important when it comes to growing longer and thicker lashes.

Started using jojoba oil as a cleanser/moisturizer recently and noticed my eyelashes were WAY longer and my eyebrows more filled out after a few weeks - my eyelashes used to be short (always used to think it felt like they got singed somehow) and now they're much longer and mascara looks great.. Didn't expect this side effect but am SO happy it happened :p Loving the cleanser/moisturizing routine now as well, no soap necessary anymore (99% of processed products screw up my skin). Can't rave enough..
