I've found that my bb cream has a bit more coverage than a tinted moisturizer. If you want to fix or cover blemishes, go for a bb cream

The three days I have used my bb cream from urban decay my face has cleared up a lot! I get complements on my skin!

Bb cream has more coverage and more skin care benefits. I like to use some tinted moisturizers to give people more color or a nice glow. But usually for people who don't need coverage.

BB cream should always have a SPF , primer and coverage to it. Tinted moisturizer is just that tinted light coverage.

In the US, not a whole lot. Korean products, there is a REAL difference in the two.

Melanie is dead on. In the US the word BB cream has little rules. The acronym itself means Beauty Balm and for the most part, the one thing in common with them all is that they offer a high SPF, medium coverage and priming benefits. That's not to say they all do, though. That being said, for your combination/acne prone skin I would recommend the Dr Jart Black Label Detox BB Beauty Balm or the Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer. Both have more coverage than your average BB Cream or Tinted Moisturizer, help control breakouts and have a nice flawless finish.
I hope that helps!

Oh and if you are interested in trying a Korean BB Cream (which is loaded with skincare benefits as well), I recommend Skin79 (unfortunately only available online in the US but fantastic for blemish prone skin).

I agree with Alicia. Skin79 hot pink is what I use when my skin is oily and it nourishes my skin when it's irritated.
