I'm not sure I haven't tried it but I heard lemon is a natural bleach

Yes! Yes! Yes! I have super dopper dark hair and I did lemon juice now I have blond end (that's where I did it) but it in your hair and go to the beach or blow dry and it'll work it takes more than one use but it really good and if all goes bad use sun in its also lemon juice to help lighten.

If you add baking soda to the lemon juice it would help as well.

Yes it should but it won't give you blonde highlights it will just lighten your hair. You have to let it sit for a while too
