I have okay lighting for my videos at the moment. But I tried filming a makeup tutorial and the colors did not show up well on my video. I know natural lighting is best but it rains a lot where I live and I work, so I can't film till night time. Any suggestions?

I usually use natural lighting...I think if you're using artificial, you should use a fluorescent light. Have one light on the entire area and focus another one where you need to :P Hope that helps.

I suggest making yourself an inexpensive soft box and make at least three so you can have the 3 point lighting system. Tutorials on how to make a soft box are on youtube : )

The sun. I film right in front of my screen door (but inside the house, obviously c:). Even when it rains, the lighting in my videos looks really good.

I don't film with natural lightings because my family members are always very noisy, so I use a standing lamp from IKEA (changing the bulbs to white), set it behind my camera and start filming. XD That's the best lighting you can get, (for me I think it is) take a look at my videos and you'll know how the lighting is. :) http://www.youtube.com/user/MichelleAXOXO
