I was in Ulta the other day looking at foundations when I started to talk to one of the girls that worked there, she asked me what foundation I usually wear and when I said MAC she started to laugh and said, "I don't wear MAC, they put fiber glass particles in their foundation". Apparently, one of her co workers worked for MAC and after years of wearing studio fix went to the dermatologist and found tiny scratches on her face which opened her up for wrinkles.
I am pretty sure this was a scare tactic to buy from Ulta rather than MAC, has anyone else heard of this rumor? Or know what to do to find out if its true or not?

I've never heard of such a thing, but let's just say my spidey sense is tingling. *nods*

I have never heard such a thing either and I am quite sure that if it was true MAC would not be as popular as they are now. SMH people and their foolishness

i used studio fix and have great skin, only with some breakouts on the sides of my lips/chin area or even more rarely, on the side of my nose. i say this not because it relates your comment about wrinkles but because of what damage that would do; it would cause broken vessels, irritation, breakouts, etc. this is not true. also, the fact that she LAUGHED about someone having terrible skin damage done is a tip that she might also be dishonest.
that aside, i used studio fix for about six months (and nearly every day) and was incredibly happy with it but after a few other tries with foundations, i find that lancome's teint miracle is best for my skin type.

I really doubted if that was true or not just wanted to see if anyone else heard anything like that before. I really like MAC foundations and although I don't use studio fix I was just curious because a lot of my friends had skin issues while using it. Idk that's just crazy to me lol

Don't think there's such thing inside the foundation although studio fix plus foundation (it's the only foundation I own from M.A.C) really do break most of the people out. Never heard of people getting wrinkles from it though.. :/ I never get pimples, and rarely get spots (not freckles kind of spots, it's those kind where you can feel it), but after wearing it, I get some spots that are not pimple or oil clogs around the side of my nose area and 2 tiny pimples under the side of my eyebrows. But thankfully it recovers very fast. The spots feel like.. when I slide my fingers up towards my eyes from the side of the nostrils, it feels like I can use my finger nail to "clip" the spots. Does anyone knows what those things are called? Although I have sensitive skin, but my face aren't THAT sensitive I believe. o-o

maybe that girl exfoliated her skin with salt/sugar scrubs. I know those have caused tiny cuts on the skin. But I've never heard of real MAC foundation causing that unless it's the bootleg crap then I probably wouldnt doubt it'd have fiber glass since those cosmetics aren't regulated.
