My mom had nails shorter than yours and she got acrylics, and when she took them off, her nails were long, the bad part is that the top layer of your nails could be ripped off. Not you nail entirely just the top later,

Your nails are fine, seen people with shorter get acrylics. @isabel did your mum not take them off with 100% acetone? That may have been the reason, also it is known that acrylics damage nails, but that is going to happen if you deprive your nails of sun light and air for several weeks.

They're not too short but yeah acrylics are horrible for the health of your nail. They have to rough up the surface by filing the entire nail. For me, it was easier to quit biting my nails than to keep my acrylics on and gorgeous.

Exactly what meg said and that's why I find acrylics to be unhealthy cause its a cycle...get them done, get them filled in 2 weeks (or a new set eventually), more filing, less oxygen to your nails and within a couple months you have no choice but to get acrylics cause your real nails are efffffffed up!!

No not to short. consider gels, I personally like them way more then acrylics and they last longer.
