What's contouring (makeup) and how can a beginner start to contour?

For a beginner, you just have to know where to put what in the right places.
You use bronzer to sculpt along the cheekbone to create a more defined bone and creates the illusion of a slimmer face. Some people also use bronzer to contour down the sides of the nose to create the illusion of a slim nose.
Highlighter is also used as a way to bring light to the face. When highlighter catches the light, it brings the features forward. It's used on the browbone, nosebridge and above your cheekbones. This will make those features look more outward and visible.
Just be sure to blend out whatever you do so it looks natural and not like brown and white stripes.
Hope this helped sorry its so long lol

It's like highlighting areas where light naturally hits your face and shading areas of shadow with a bronzer.
