This post might fit best on the advice section but I didn't want it to be tip.
I saw a video of a makeup artist from Brazil. The show a video were they say a good tip for applying false lashes.
A way to make the lashes natural is to apply the false lashes below your natural lashes. So I guess to put the strip on the upper waterline.
It looks very natural though. However, the big question is whether it's save in terms of the glue.
I think it's great for someone like me who has curly lashes and hooded eyes. Lashes, except for corner lashes, don't look great on me.
I'll leave link to the video. It's on Portuguese but you can follow on.

Hope to get an answer.

oh wow I've never seen this eyelash application before.
from what I saw on the video you stick them underneath your upper lashes.
I doubt its on the waterline since the glue isn't waterproof.
It looks amazingly natural..
I think I'm going to give this a try.. although it looks painful! haha
and I'm not sure if the glue is safe on your eye..
but whenever i get glue inside it hurts.

wow that video was awesome! great question btw. as a professional makeup artist, i think it's safe bc the glue is going to be a bit "tacky" before applying to the eye anyway. and the response from Paloma is correct, it looks like hes applying it underneath the lashes not the water line. if you're weary about it just do one eye for practice to see how if feels in your eye. i wear contacts and LOVE my fake lashes. Im going to try this as soon as i finish typing! good luck! :)

It can be dangerous. I poke once each time in my eyes, but it wasn't that bad. It looks super natural. Definitely need to practice more. I saw 2 other videos of this technique, will link below.
Definitely need to put it on the lashes. Wait for it to be very tacky and then apply it.
I'll put pics. I'm not planning on doing this often either, it's terrifying. :)

I apply mine this way! under my natural lashes, not on the waterline really. I cut my strip lashes into 3 parts to make it easier to apply.
I have asian eyes that doesn't have the mobil lid showing and is slightly hooded so I find this is more effective for me as it holds up my natural lashes which doesn't curl very well and it's comfortable as my eyelids are not sitting onto of the strip.
However as a working makeup artist I have yet to apply it onto a model or client this way.

awesome video. I've done that technique but only with single lashes, I might just try with a whole strip now..:-)

I've tried this technique before with both strip and cluster lashes, and the lashes look more natural. But this is not a technique I would use on a regular basis unless I could master it! Just don't tear up because the lash will slip!
