Lol I don't want to sound dumb, but what are gel nails? what's the difference between gel and acrylics?

Gels are pretty much just a regular manicure that lasts longer and to do it they use a you've light. They are different from acrylics because they do the manicure on your natural nail.

I have one on right now. It basically just a regular manicure but the nail polish last for about 3 weeks depending on your activity. Yes true that Kaley, they use UV light. But it seriously lasts soo long and you can't wipe it with regular nail polish remover!

They just a manicure that last a week longer than acrylics and cost more a lot of people like them better than acrylic I don't see no difference.

Gel nails are better then acrylic they are stronger, more natural looking. You can paint over on any color and then use nail polish and won't ruin your initial color. You can always go to a nail salon and they will talk to you about the difference. I use to get acrylic and now only get gel nails done.

I got gel nails not long ago and I loved it when they were on but I was such a pain to I've it took me two hours to get a tiny bit off and I had to soak my nails in acetone nail polish which to my surprise was really hard to find

My friend who owns a nail salon in NM would do my nails for free so when I moved she gave me a gel manicure and I didn't have the money at the time to go get my nails done and that gel literally lasted two months until I finally went to a salon to get it removed.

Acrylics are a powder to liquid overlay that hardens it can extend your nail with a tip or just extentions. gels are a liquid painted over an extention or a tip put under you've light to harden. gel manicures is just a gel based polish over a natural or gel nail that dries under a you've light making the manicure last longer

Elle next time you soak them off try scoring the surface a little to break down the shine before you soak. the should only take 5 minutes to soak off! hope that helps any1 :)
