What is a good replacement for my concealer, foundation, powder routine? it takes a lot of time and sometimes looks cakey.

I have acne prone skin and an uneven skin tone so I definitely need high coverage.

any products that you would reccomend? also anything that is waterproof/sweatproof since I live in hot climate?

I use essence powder. its not much of a foundation, it for me not to look oily and to seal my makeup.

What foundation, powder and concealer do you use?

My only advice so far is to use one layer of FULL coverage fdtn instead of layering, and try milk of magnesia as a primer, it's so effective at keeping you matte all day that a powder isn't even necessary! That will reduce the cake factor 🍰

Any powder foundation. I have the same problem and it only takes a minute or two to put on. You don't have to worry about putting powder on to set it either.

For concealer I use maybelline instant age rewind dark spot eraser, foundation: make up for ever HD foundation, & powder: maybelline shine free loose powder
my routine is to do concealer, then foundation, then powder, then translucent powder. after that I spray MAC's fix+ on my face then add more translucent powder to my T-zone.
This might sound like a lot but this helps because I have a very oily face & the fix+ helps from looking cakey
I recommend urban decay's de-slick setting spray to finish off your makeup as well (:

For powder foundation I use arbonne's and you don't have to highlight at all either because it reflects natural light, but it's kinda pricey. I would also recommend bare minerals powder foundation. I use that one for dance competitions and recitals and It lasts quite a long time.

Is say a mineral powder.
if you need concealer than use that for spot correcting.
when I use mineral powder I put it on right on top of my moisturizer. n blend on a circular motion. I guess its like making your ow. tinted moisturizer... give great coverage n looks flawless when it sets.

I use just bb cream. but if you're acne prone and in a hot. climate it may be a bit greasy for you.

Maybe you could get a light to medium coverage foundation, tap it all over and then re apply it to the areas you need it (using it as a concealer) and quickly apply the powder on your way to work/school.

Facial wash that I use is no.7 for dry/normal skin, however you can get the oily/normal skin, it's a green pump and when you pump it foams up and you just wash your face with it. It makes you feel like you've had a face lift, so then I apply no.7 daily moisturiser and let it settle for a couple minutes. I then use maybelines BB cream, on the lightest colour (face is now tinted and twice as hydrated and moisturised). Then if I'm feeling a bit ill or my skins a bit red, I put NARS foundation on and then apply MAC studio fix foundation. make sure you remove your makeup every night thoroughly and you wash your face every night and moisturise it. My face never has spots (I used to get loads) and no matter what foundation/powder you use, if you moisturise your face plenty of times before hand then you won't get spots or dry skin. I live by this routine! And it really doesn't take that much time! I'm up, showered and out my house within half an hour!
