How can I straighten my hair so it actually turns out nice?

Okay so I am absolutely awful when it comes to hair. I'm lucky I can put it in a ponytail.
Anyway, here's what I do before I straighten my hair. My hair is naturally curlyish like my profile picture

1. Shower- Redkens diamond shampoo & conditioner
2. I comb my hair with a wide tooth comb, then put it in a turban for no more than a minute.
3. When I take it out, I put in "It's a 10 keratin leave in" and then Redkens diamond oil.
4. I attempt to blow dry my hair, it's frizzy and poofy but not tangled. I use a round brush and chi hair dryer with the nozzle attachment and I try blow drying with the round brush under.
5. I wait until my hair is no longer hot from blow drying and use heat protectant (matrix). I put the top half up and do the bottom half, and I brush/comb it first.
6. When I'm all done, I put in Paul Mitchell's skinny serum.

Even after all this, my hair is soft to the touch, however it looks ugly. The bottom of my hair looks squarish when I'd rather have it pointing inwards. My hair stylist did my hair like this and I was IN LOVE. I asked her how to do it but I am just a big fail at hair.

Please help! 😁

To get your hair like that in the picture you have to have it cut a sertain way and with your Straightener you have to kinda curl it inwards to your face? I don't know how to explain sorry hun I tried (:

Blow dry then use a straightener. I have a purple oil that comes in a little container from loreal (I think, yea) and it helps to straighten your hair. Also, there is a treatment where you put this cream in your hair and it makes it straight. You just let it dry and boom.

But it's really expensive to buy a bottle. It's like 200 bucks.

I don't think ill use the cream because I think those are usually the relaxers that last awhile and I like to wear my hair curly sometimes. Thanks though 😋

You need to take your round brush and try to pull the hair in towards your face when you blow dry. Same with straightening. If you're pull straight down, you won't get your desired look. And judging by the picture, I'm going to assume that the hair stylist didnt use a straightener. Only a blow dryer? It looks too free and flowy to be done by a straightener.

When I down, flat iron the ends inwards.

For one, you are using a ton of heat on your hair. You're going to ruin it if you keep doing that. My advice to you is to let your hair air/towel dry. (It won't be puffy like it is when you blow dry it. Then, when you straighten it, curl in the ends.

It'll be easier to blow dry with a paddle brush, rather than a round brush. then do the detailing with the flat iron to curve it inwards! it also helps to put a heat resistant comb through your hair in front of your flat iron, this way it gets your hair straighter the first time rather than putting heat on the same section a few times!

Anna C- She did use a straightener... She's magical 😋
Cassidy- I straighten my hair max 3 times a month and I do towel dry a bit before blow drying. If I do complete air dry/towel and then straighten my hair looks awful.
