Okay, so lately on tumblr I have been seeing these REALLY cute sweatshirts with pockets put on them. BUT the problem is I need a tutorial. xx

You get any single colour sweatshirt, then cut out a pocket of your size with a patterened fabric that is not to thin, then sew it on to the front!! Make sure to sew in small stitches not big stitches or there will be gaps. Thats pretty much the over view.

Okay. does it really matter how thick the shirt or pocket is? I won't it to hold and not fall off when washing.

Shirt no, pocket yes, if you want it to hold do small stitches, and make them tight

If you're a beginner, use a cotton or thicker fabric for the pocket, nothing sheer or stretchy (its a pain to hand sew!) any fabrics or craft store will have fabric remnants, little leftover pieces that are perfect for pockets... plus they're really cheap and you can find some cute patterns :)
