So I've never worn face makeup before except for plays, and even then someone put it on for me, so I'm pretty hopeless :P
My friends recommended BB cream for helping my skin, but I don't know what to look for. Which one is best for acne and dark spots on combination/oily skin on a girl that's pretty pale. for reference I match Revlon color stay light/pale. Thank you guys!

I second the garnier bb cream! It's good for your skin and decent coverage out of all the bb creams I've tried it's my fave.

I use Garnier BB cream for combo/oily skin. I have some pricer one's in my stash but the Garnier outperforms them all.

I would suggest a cc cream instead of a been for dark spots ( color correction). I have combination skin and would recommend smashbox, Clinique and Diorhydra.

And I wanted to say that I have combination skin a little bit oilier than dry and those ones have worked for me, so I would recommend them.

Right now I'm using Rimmel bb cream and the coverage is the best I've seen. I also use garner for combo oily skin and physicians formula bb cream.

Go for oriental bb creams! I love Etude House bb cream I really don´t have to use foundation because it has great coverage!! Skin79 is also good but take careful because these are meant for fair girls. Maybelline bb cream is also good but it doesn´t cover too much in my opinion. Good luck!

@Dani I wanted to get something from Skin79 or a Korean bb cream but they are a bit out of my budget :P aw thank you!

American BB creams don't help skin. Everyone in America is so focused on the concept of coverage that they don't realize BB creams aren't supposed to give much coverage. So in reality American BB Cream= Tinted Moisturizer. Which you can make by adding foundation to your moisturizer.
Most drug store brands ( I have tried almost all ) have sucked.
Garnier's is oily for no good reason ( And I have dry skin )
L'oreal's run really pale, no coverage, and little benefits. ( People actually thought I was sick. )
Maybelline is... I just don't trust that brand...
The only brand that I have found, and is foreign, and offers some pretty badass coverage is Lumene. It's a norwegian brand.
You can find it here: http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?skuId=2255922&productId=xlsImpprod5140093&navAction=push&navCount=1&categoryId=cat940007%20cat170002
I bought it for my mom at first, but seriously... I ended up snatching it. Its so smooth and light weight, and offers such good coverage. Left my skin so soft afterwards. And I love smelling it, seriously, it smells so good.

I have advocated yet to find a Western BB cream that is light enough for me in the winter. I much prefer skin79, or holika holika.
