Just get trims more frequently for the health of your hair, and get a good hair mask! Carol's Daughter makes an awesome one for curly hair like yours.

Love the color!! I agree with Jessica.. Trim it and get some cheap conditioning packets and just put them on your ends and let it sit on there for 5-10 mins once a week.

Never use a fine comb to comb your hair and only brush when hair is wet :)

I totally agree with Destiny M., do NOT shorten your curly hair because it would form a puff and give you a tough time. I have naturally wavy hair almost upto my waist and the ends get dry all the time, what I do is, apply castor oil to the ends and massage, then use Deva no poo curls shampoo to rinse out the oil (use oils sparingly), condition with a deep conditioner twice a week and steam fir 5 minutes and use a leave in by Deva, since this routine, the dryness hasn't reappeared in 5 months and 8 months since I got my last cut.

Sephora sells a line of sulfate free hair products called ouidad. I SWEAR by this stuff. My curly, frizzy hair has been out of control my entire life and this is the only thing I've ever found that works! They have different lines depending on your hair type, but it has shampoo, conditioner, and a gel (not sticky) that I set with my diffuser. Works like a charm... Even in this florida heat and humidity.
