This has happened to me plenty of times. I'd just squeeze the contents into a small pot with a lid, you can find them in most drug stores. I think anything else would dry it out avid I doubt you could find another exact lid to fit the tube. Just an idea, hope it helps :)

Put it in a Ziploc and/ or wrap aluminum foil around the tip.

Its happened to me before and I did what Bobbi W did just wraped aluminum foil on opening and put in ziploc bag worked just fine. But putting it in another container is a great idea if you have one.
