Hey, I have been having problems with my hair for a very long time now. It is very thin and I wish to make it thicker. I have shorter layers in my hair that I am currently growing out, but they are taking forever to grow out. My hair has been dyed black and is a bit damaged. I do not have the money to buy a very expensive, pricey product that helps thicken hair, sadly. Does anybody know of ways to get my hair to grow longer and thicker in a decent amount of time? It would be much appreciated. Thank you.

There's a brand called gay hair 0 calories that worked wonders for me.
Also, coconut oil treatments help and it will strengthen it to prevent breakage

To begin with:
You cannot actually thicken your hair.
There are tricks and tips to make it appear thicker. Like teasing it and adding products to make it appear thicker, but not actually thicken it. The only way to thicken hair is to change your genetics.

Coconut oil and castor oil. The key here is oil. Oil is sticky and will make your hair stick together thus creating the appearance of thicker hair. However, it will weigh down your hair. The treatment is amazing for hair in general, so doing it is not an issue.
Do not take biotin unless you consult a doctor. Biotin is meant for those with a biotin deficiency or a related illness. It is not approved by the FDA and comes with some pretty heavy side effects. ( Some being acne, and some cases severe enough that some have gotten acne all over their body or other body parts. )

Thank you everyone! I will definitely have to try some of those :) I have been looking for healthy ways to make my hair appear thicker. I had broke and damaged a lot of hair a while back due to poor care to it.

Grind black mustard seed into a paste about 2 tablespoons full and add 2 tablespoos of olive oil and apply all over hair and scalp. masage scalp for 3 minutes put on a shower cap and go to sleep. wash with a mild shampoo. do this a minimum of 2-3 times a week and it will spead up growth, add shine, get rid of dandruff, and prevent hair fall out. Fyi, it is a bit smelly tho ;)

Sadly, I don't know any remidies for thicker hair, but try some hairstyles especially for whispy hair. my sister has really thin hair and we've done some REALLY cool stuff with it. :)

Lighter colour in general maked hair looking fuller. And highlights. Flat black is not best.

I have darker fine hair that I wear flat. I use a dry shampoo to increase body.
