I am guessing that the salt spray is causing this type of dryness but I am totally unsure! I also have been doing the coconut oil hair treatment. I leave it in my hair for about an hour and then wash out.

Or maybe some type of hair product that has worked for you?

Nicole, I think that it is just about your hair type 'greasy roots and dry ends' but the salt spray dries hair too. Or use 2 shampoos one for hreasy hair and one for ends or wash just roots. Cut ends every 3 months and that's all you can do.

You have dead ends

Abby is the only solution to cut them or can they be repaired? Lol.

You need to cut it asap, and then start doing treatments. The ends are too far gone. :(

Mine did that this summer, I lost about two inches but it's already so much healthier! I use Josie Maran argon oil every night, and that seems to help! Plus regular trims will help keep any damage in check before it gets too bad.

Agreed- you need a cut. mine looked the same way so I got 2 inches cut off today. Looks waaaaaay better.

Balm -> balsam. And nothing can repair dead ends, better cut them as soon as it's possible. I also have cut off about 2 inches today:-)
