Red and black are both hard colours to get out once you put them on your hair. You could use a temporary wash out dye and try both colours to see which you like first. Then once you've decided you can dye your hair permanently. I think black and red would both look great on you but you would need to bleach your hair (which is damaging) if you want the red to show up on your hair :)
