Honestly I've never tries either one, but I have tried other L'oreal mascaras and have loved them. The formulas are great and the wands allow for good distribution of product. I'd try the Butterfly Effect, if I were you.

Butterfly is amazing! I just bought it about 2 weeks ago and it is my new favorite mascara. I have a drawer full of drugstore and high end brands. I am just loving it.

I just bought it also but I think Maybe I'm using the brush wrong because I'm not getting the results many are. I really wanted to like this mascara. Any tips on application?

I LOVE the bufferfly mascara! Its seriously amazing. I just got it yesterday and I'm so happy with it. I already have long lashes but this makes them non clumpy, and whispy. Love!

I like the "butterfly" better, but I would recommend the waterproof version, because I was caught in an unexpected storm yesterday and my eyes were completely panda eyes. Lol. It was very sexy =P
But seriously, I have noticed it smudges on me very easily so I still recommend the waterproof. I have the Lash Potion and I'm not too impressed. I'm not a major Revlon mascara fan, however, and I really recommend the Maybelline One x One way more.
