So I decided to dip dye my hair but because my hair is very dark I bleached it first and then when I took off the bleach it was pure blonde then I put on my turquoise dip dye and waited 30 mins when I washed it off the colour looked faded and didn't cover most of the blonde hair, so there's a turquoise green colour and blonde. Because I want to re-dye it but with a dye that has better quality I'm not sure weather I have to bleach it again or just put on the same colour on top I'm not sure if it will come out right what should I do please help!!

Do not rebleach. Just dye over the color will come out a little darker but correct.

Turquoise is a hard colour to get hair to take. when I did mine I left the turquoise on for 6 hours wrapped in saran wrap. if you bleached to light, sometimes the colour won't take. do no dye natural colour dyes over top it will turn green, unless you go black. you might see green through still though. I had to wait until most of the wash out colour was gone before dying back black as it fades because a non permanent colour washes out. do not rebleach! bleaching strips and kills hair if you do it to much, then you will have to cut it. if you do decide to bleach again, do a bleach wash after letting coconut oil sit on your bleached bits for a few hours. good luck! I've been there and had to cut it all off..

If you can find splat hair colours or beach London, they hold the best in your hair..

Sushoni is right. Turquoise is difficult unless the hair is a perfect blonde and healthy. I would redo with another bolder color. Drk blue, purple, blood red, fuchsia. No more bleach. And if you want to dye it natural then you have to stay away from ashy colors or you'll get a green like s. c. Mentioned. Go for something that'll replace the missing red tones that have been bleached out like dark golden brown or something with a pinch or red. I like special fx and pravana for the funky colors.

When you bleached your hair did you bring it up to a pale yellowish color? Now the hair is pourous and won't grab the color or maybe grabs the base of the color only? Oh, I would definitely go see a professional especially when you're dealing with bleach, well any chemical process, corrective color will cost more $$ than going to the salon.

Hair won't take to color right away when you use bleach. you need to just wait a few days and then dye it again. you can use your same dye and leave it on overnight. you can do that because temporary hair color isnt doing any damage, its simply depositing color. watch some youtube videos, there are tons of girls out there who show you what to do and www.hairfinder.com is packed with info from cutting hair into layers, dye troubles to styling hair. when you use bleach next time, especially on the ends cuz they are the most damaged part of your hair they can turn brittle and bleach super fast. check every couple of minutes. you can also add in conditioner and shampoo its called a bleach wash and that is a lot more gentle and slows down the bleaching. also be careful on how strong of a developer you are using. the lower the number the less harsh it is. when bleaching hair, be careful not to go more then 2 shades lighter at a time. sometimes you will have to do the bleaching in phases, go 2 shades lighter then wait a week or two and do it again and so on. its a pain but beauty isnt easy darling!
