Hi all~
I think I posted this before but can't find it. Anywhoo, as it's too expensive at the salon (w/very long hair) I bought a home highlights kit. It came w/a bonnet & crochet. I don't want to botch it & don't know anyone who can help.
My hair is dyed medium blond & I want light blond highlights, not chunky ones, just natural looking ones here & there.
Can anyone explain how I can do this w/o making a mess? Thanks. ^_^

Get someone to help you do it and make sure that you use small enough pieces of hair so they aren't chunky. And fold the pieces in tin foil to avoid making a big mess while you do the other sections of hair start with one side of your head then move to the opposite side then the back sections of hair.

I don't advice using the cap with long hair. it is made for shorter hair and can very easily get notted underneath. try to find a cosmetology school around you..

You really shouldn't use the cap. Do foils.

Yeah, that bonnet is pretty scary looking, & makes sense for shorter hair. My bf always helps me do my roots but doesn't dare to try at highlights. I hadn't thought of a cosmetology school, that's a good idea. Otherwise tinfoil sounds good. Thanks! ^_^
