Every time I write a question I rarely, if ever, get any responses even tho I comment and reply to others. I find no matter what eyeliner I use it gets into my eye and irritates my eyes. I don't understand because I am using the nars long lasting eyeliner and the woman told me it is the absolute best...my eyes must be very watery or something because every time I use it, it comes off within the hour and is all clumpy on my waterline and little specks get into the eye itself. anyone else ever experience this and what do you recommend.

Sorry to hear that. Well I love gel eyeliners but maybe you need to set your eyeliner with translucent powder or black eyeshadow so it doesn't rub off, as for the waterline I'm not sure I think you can do the same thing but I'm not sure I don't really wear eyeliner in my waterline.

When I use eyeliner under my eye I set it with black eyeshadow but you can only use that under not on your waterline

Under the eye is not really a problem because I smudge it under the bottom lashes and then put the color eyeshadow I am wearing over top of it. I would love a long lasting waterline eyeliner because I always do a dramatic eye but it always ends up in the eye instead of staying put where it should. very annoying and also can't be good for your vision lol.

I used to have that issue a lot, so far what has helped for myself is stila waterproof liner and applying sephora waterproof gel with it.I find the color is so black and the staying power on my water line is better then ever.Sometimes when adding the shadow to set on water line can cause irritation because of the powder,I say its like dirt blowing in your eye and cause's it to water. Some can be ok and some can't.

I never put powder in the waterline only under lol @Alma the gel doesn't run up into your eye? or do you have to hold it down till its dry?

The gel is thick its different from other gels the strange thing is it stays in place,I just use my liner brush and apply. Its never runs or stings my eye,..I use to buy Mac fluidline and other brands but the sephora brand has been a life saver for my issue for about a year or so..I'm hooked lol and the stila pencil it amazing with it.

Try using a dark eyeshadow as your liner. Use an angled brush to apply, but before you apply it, spray the brush with MACs Fix+ finishing spray to give it a gel-like texture. If you don't have the finishing spray, spray it with a small amount of water so that it will last longer. Sometimes eyeshadow can be less harsh than liquid eyeliners. And you can also try an eyeshadow formulated for sensitive skin if needed. :)

I once had a bride who wanted a black eyeliner in the waterline. naturally I was worried that it would run. I used the prestige intense eyeliner, and itworked like a charm. I really really love that one, and bonus, it;s dirt cheap. the only downside I would say is that they are very soft, so you would have to sharpen it more often to get a nice sharp tip. but with the price of around $5, who cares?!
