I tried using Dawn dish soap and coconut oil to clean my makeup brushes and WOW!! As clean and soft as the day I bought them, which is many moons ago. I'm blown away! I've used most every makeup brush cleaner and they all seemed ok but nothing really seemed to get my brushes really white and soft. Well, this did the trick! I mixed equal parts soap and oil on a small plate, dipped the brushes in and then worked up a lather with the brush in my hand and SHaaZam! Cleanest brushes ever! I know I shouldn't be this excited about brush cleaner but I also know you gals will totally understand!! Xoxox

I have oily acne prone skin and I use dawn and baking soda for my clarisonic to get the bacteria out and it's awesome! I think I'll try the dawn and coco oil on my more delicate brushes. Sounds great for my tinted moisturizer brush!

Might be a silly question, but since coconut oil is solid at room temp, do you warm it first before mixing it with Dawn?

@kyleeB my bathroom was warm so when I mixed them together the coconut oil just melted.
